Patriots rally from 10 down, sack Dolphins 5 times in 24–19 win
The New England Patriots overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the Miami Dolphins 24–19, using a 21-point unanswered run and five sacks to turn the game around.
New England held Miami to 74 rushing yards while gaining 131 on the ground. The Patriots sacked Dolphins quarterbacks 5 times for 16 yards, with Cory Durden accounting for 1.5 sacks. New England also converted both of its fourth-down attempts.
After trailing 13–3 at halftime, the Patriots began their comeback with Drake Maye’s 43-yard touchdown pass to Williams, awarded after New England challenged an incomplete ruling. Maye’s 2-yard touchdown run put the Patriots ahead for good, and his 48-yard touchdown pass to DeMario Douglas followed a Byard interception. Miami scored late, but Stevenson’s reviewed third-down conversion helped New England run out the clock.
